If you wish to set up your email program on your local machine to include checking mail for your domain email account eg: info@mydomainname.com please use the following settings for Outlook Express:

Instructions for Outlook Express:

1. Open Outlook Express
2. From the Tools menu choose Accounts
3. Select the Mail tab at the top
4. Click on Add and then Mail
5. Display Name: Type in your real name, click Next
6. Email address: info@mydomainname.com [enter your actual email address eg: info@yourdomain.com] click Next
7. My Incoming mail server is a: POP3 server
   Incoming Mail Server: mail.mydomain.com
   Outgoing Mail (SMTP): mail.mydomain.com click Next
8. Account name: [Enter your email username eg: info@yourdomain.com]
9. Password: [enter your email password], click Next
10. Click Finish

If you get an error sending it is probably because "My server requires authentication" is not ticked. To enable this please follow the instructions below:

1. 1. Open Outlook Express
   2. From the Tools menu choose Accounts
   3. Select the Mail tab at the top (if it is not already active)
   4. Select mail.mydomainname.com
   5. Click Properties (on the right)
   6. Select the Servers tab at the top
   7. Tick My server requires authentication
   8. Click Apply
   9. Click OK
   10. Click Close
